The Algonquin Garden Club was established May 10, 1929.
We are a member of:
• National Council of State Garden Clubs, Inc.
• Central Region of National Council
• The Garden Clubs of Illinois, Inc., District 1
We were granted 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization status September 20, 2001.
Our active membership is limited to 30 members. A member in good standing for at least fifteen years is eligible for associate membership.
The club includes a board of four officers and nine standing committees to help achieve the club’s objectives.
Through fundraising, we donate to local community and environmental organizations as well as The Garden Club of Illinois projects and offer local
environmental and school grants.
We make service to the community an integral part of our organization. We have ongoing commitments to designing and maintaining prominent garden locations around the Village of Algonquin. See our home page for photos of our gardens!
