Annual Spring Plant Sale is on May 10, 2025!
Our Objectives:
The Algonquin Garden Club is an organization sharing a love of gardening, contributing to the beautification of our community, donating to charitable organizations, protecting the environment, and preserving history.
The Algonquin Garden Club members maintain the following gardens in the village:
Riverfront Park 9/11 Firemean’s Memorial at 201 N Harrison St near the boat ramp.
Riverfront Park Flagpole Garden
Redesigned, replanted and rededicated July 21, 2016. The project made possible by a generous donation by the family of Florence Weck who passed away in 2014 and a member of the club since 1962. She followed in the steps of her mother, Irma B. Ritt Ebel, who was a 1929 charter member of the garden club. A plaque in honor of Florence was placed at the flagpole garden memorializing her many years of dedication and service.
Veterans Memorial located in the Algonquin cemetery.
Blue Star Memorial Butterfly Garden is in the process of being relocated at Rt. 31 & Huntington in Algonquin; moved from the Algonquin Cemetery in 2021. Rededication to be June 7, 2024.
